Info about D4K trip to the FEI Pony European Championships
Dressage4Kids is organizing a trip for a small group to attend the FEI Pony European Championships, which will take place at Bishop Burton College August 7-12, 2018. The Championships will cover the three disciplines of show jumping, eventing, and dressage.
This Dressage4Kids trip will also include field trips to Carl Hester’s facility and to Mount St. John Equestrian. Additional opportunities to meet top coaches and judges are being considered. This is a unique opportunity to watch some of the best dressage and horsemanship in the world.
While on the trip, Olympian Lendon Gray will lead the group in discussions of warm-ups, competition test riding, riding theory, and other topics.
The tentative dates for the trip are August 6 – 15, 2018.

Dressage4Kids is organizing a trip for a small group to attend the FEI Pony European Championships, which will take place at Bishop Burton College August 7-12, 2018. The Championships will cover the three disciplines of show jumping, eventing, and dressage.

Because this trip requires international travel, we are asking riders to complete the application process before we have all of the details for the trip finalized, including the final itinerary and cost.
6-8 riders may be selected for this trip. Each rider must be accompanied by an adult, such as a parent or trainer. In certain cases, one adult may be responsible for more than one child, as long as Dressage4Kids agrees to the arrangement. Each application must state who is planning on being the responsible adult.
In terms of booking travel arrangements, riders and parents will be responsible for booking their own flights, but Dressage4Kids will try to put together a package for while the group is in England. The group will meet at London Heathrow Airport at a designated date and time. Travel between venues will be primarily by chauffeured buses so that no one has to drive in England. While at the FEI Pony European Championships, the group will be staying in single occupancy college dorm rooms with en suite bathrooms. The trip could potentially cost between $3000-$5000 per person.
There may be scholarship opportunities available to riders. Adults will be expected to pay their own way.

All application materials must be complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants must be between the ages of 11-16 in 2018, FEI age rules apply.
Also include one personal letter of recommendation from a non-family member and one riding/horse industry letter of recommendation. You may use the file upload option or send the letters of recommendation separately to Lendon Gray at graydressage@gmail.com.
